The core team consists of Thejesh GN( Technical Architect), Santosh Patil(Content Manager), Gururaj Krishnappa and Fidel Dsouza(Content Analyst). Mavrix aims at being India’s greatest music discovery engine. The venture has created MySwar.com, which they claim to be by far the most wide-ranged guide to Hindi film music as well as a growing range of non-film music. MySwar is available on both Android and iOS apps. They have a colossal range of catalogs dated back from 1941 till today. Their database includes artist biographies, credits and award information. They also tag songs with various musical traits like genre, instrumentation, tempo and more. Based on these traits they serve up personalized song recommendations.
Based out of New Delhi, Kroomsa is a platform for independent bands/artists. These artists can upload their music online which is available for download and streaming online. Founded by Paras Chopra, Kroomsa doesn’t just let you showcase your talent but get almost free advertising. It works in a way by which your advertisement is embedded in the song and once the song is downloaded and played on different channels or music systems, it will carry the advertisement, providing you with free marketing. Kroomsa gives 20% of its ad revenue to NGO’s and 40% to artist/band and keeps the rest 40% for itself.
