Apple Unveils A New Macbook With 8 GB RAM & A Faster Processor, Now Also Available In Rose Gold

Apple has surprised everyone yet again, with the release on an updated version of the 12 inch Retina Macbook that was launched almost an year ago. The immaculate detailing in the Macbook is still intact, with some sweet under the hood changes that provide a better performance and a longer battery life.

The team at Apple has switched out the older first generation Intel M Processor for the newer sixth-generation Intel M Processors, which can be clocked up to 1.3Ghz under normal conditions, and Turbo Boost speeds of up to 3.1 Ghz. It now also render graphics 25 per cent faster, and provides a longer battery life of 10 hours, which makes this the most reliable Macbook in the market.

The hardware changes include an upgraded Touchpad, which now comes with Force Touch and is pressure sensitive to the touch. You can now uniformly make use of the Touchpad, to click and drag and whatever you want to do, just change the amount of pressure you apply for a change in the functionality. There is still only one USB C port included in this design, which would again be a point of discussion among all.

The updated MacBook features sixth-generation dual-core Intel Core M processors up to 1.3 GHz, with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, and a faster 1866 MHz memory. New Intel HD Graphics 515 deliver up to 25 percent faster graphics performance, and faster PCIe-based flash storage makes everyday tasks feel snappier — from launching apps to opening files. The new macbook now comes up to 10 hours of wireless web browsing and up to 11 hours of iTunes® movie playback.

MacBook comes with the incredibly small and versatile USB-C port for charging, data transfer and video output in a single connector that is one-third the size of a traditional USB port. Following the introduction of USB-C on MacBook, the ecosystem of Apple and third-party USB-C accessories has continued to grow, giving users added flexibility and capability.

With no moving parts or vents like the previous iteration, the new MacBook is entirely fanless for silent, efficient performance. It is equipped with the latest wireless technologies, including built-in 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 for fast wireless connectivity.

Apple also today made 8GB of memory standard across all configurations of the 13-inch MacBook Air

But, perhaps the biggest announcement of all, is the introduction of the new color variant of this upgraded macbook – the Rose Gold. Other color options, silver, grey, and gold are still part of the regiment.

The 12-inch Macbook, with 1.1 Ghz Intel M Processor, and 256 GB Flash SSD now retails at $1,299, and you could also go for an upgraded 1.2 Ghz Intel M Processor, with 512 GB Flash SSD version at $1,599.
