“Suning is a leading Chinese retailer with a B2C e-commerce platform that ranks among the top Chinese companies and we are delighted to welcome them to CES Asia 2016 as an official industry partner,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, Consumer Technology Association. “Suning boasts both retail stores and a strong, innovative e-tailer presence. Their participation confirms that CES Asia is a must-attend event for brick and mortar and online retailers alike.”
In addition to Suning’s official partnership, the company will present its online-to-offline model on the CES Asia show floor (SNIEC, Hall N2, Booth #2531). The offline part will fully exhibit Suning’s complete solutions and applications in the fields of intelligent hardware, Internet finance and smart home. For the online part, Suning will build a CES Asia Suning Online Experience Platform, which will comprehensively present the smart ecosystem built by Suning and its partners.
“CES Asia is a hub that gathers prominent technology manufacturers and platform providers in the consumer technology industry, as well as an aggregated exhibition place revealing important industry trends,” said Su Weimin, vice president of Suning. “In the era of Internet retail, Suning propels the industry’s innovation by capturing potential consumer demand through Big Data and, hence, systematically providing customized customer-to-business services. Suning is actively seeking to build an open and mutually-beneficial smart ecosystem with its partners.”
Major Chinese retailers, including Alibaba, JD.com, Suning and Yihaodian are participating in CES Asia 2016 through show floor exhibits and official partnerships. At no other event in the world, including CES, do all major Chinese retailers participate this extensively.
Returning to Shanghai for its second year, CES Asia 2016 is expanding from two exhibit halls in 2015 to four with a show floor that will span up to 32,000 gross square meters (16,000 net square meters). Featuring more than 300 exhibiting companies, the entire global technology industry will be represented at CES Asia across 15 product categories from 3D printing and smart home to vehicle technology and wearables.
