It was expected that soft drinks category will develop slowly compared to the other beverages over the coming years. Energy Drinks in Philippines includes sugar-free drinks, regular energy drinks and shots with additives specifically designed to increase alertness.

Philippines government has imposed excise tax on the spirits such as beer, liquor, wine, and alcohol products. The spirits market in Philippines is yet to recover from the effect of taxes. The increase in consumer spending limit has led to the growth in the Philippine beverage industry.
